Today we did a mannequin challenge. It is when you do something and not moving at all. And just for fun we did a here comes Andy off Toy Story and we all collapsed.

Getting Ready For Camp Adair

Today we found out our activity groups and cabin groups. I'm happy that I have a few people that I know and that a few people I don't know that well in both groups.

I'm excited about the activities that we will be doing.
I'm nervous about that I'm going to miss my family

One thing I need to remember is that I'm lucky that I'm even going to camp so I shouldn't take it to far

I wait inspiring the block of awesomeness.  Adrenalin rushes through my veins. Smelling the fruit flavoured lolly my tastebuds pull me towards it.  Rolling it in my mouth, I fall onto my desk, mouthwatering.  Human gew floats in my mouth as I start to digest the orange flat juiciness.  Finally I devour and it reaches it's destination.

Our Script Was

STORY 1

1. It’s lunchtime outside the classroom.  Sally walks up to the bench and sits down putting her bag on her lap.  She rummages inside it and pulls out her lunchbox.  Her lunch looks delicious, especially her yummy sandwiches which she can’t wait to tuck into.
2. Beth walks past Sally and sits down beside her.  She opens up her lunchbox to find a rather pathetic sandwich.  Beth looks at Sally’s awesome lunch and then at Sally as she is about to eat it.  Beth looks very sad.
3. Sally can feel Beth looking at her and sees Beth’s unfortunate sandwich.  She then looks back up at her sad face.  Sally starts to feel guilty and reluctantly offers Beth her sandwich.  Beth snatches it out of her hand and gleefully eats it.  Now Sally feels sad!.

STORY 2

1. Sam is bored, bored, bored.  He sits at the back of the room as the rest of the class quietly work reading and writing their stories in their exercise books.  He doesn’t like writing in his exercise book and decides to rip a page out.  He concentrates very hard as he folds it up and makes a paper aeroplane.

Week 7 Book Review

This week we are starting book reviews, here is mine

Argument writing

I think the school day shouldn't go to 5PM.  Firstly, there will be children with lack of sleep. Secondly, children will start to get hungry after a long day.  Finally, walking home will be too dangerous in the dark.

Firstly, children will have lack of sleep therefore that will lead to clumsiness.  Meaning you will drop things, trip over and walk into doors which is usually a sign you are tired.

Secondly, children will start to get hungry furthermore that could lead to death.  Approximately 21,000 people over the world die from hunger a day.  Sadly it’s mostly children.  Also, you can last 21 days (3 Weeks) without food.

Finally, depending on what time of year it is, at 5PM it will be dark.  Responsible or Irresponsible children could miss see cars and get run over.  Also approximately 115 children die from being kidnapped by strangers a year.

So that's why I think school shouldn’t go to 5PM. What's your opinion ?

Mother's Day Lunch

Mother's Day Lunch

Climbing out of the enormous vehicle, I whisk into the solidly built garage.  Hearing yelling, I brace myself to get through a crowd of fans.  Escaping them, I amble straight to my Nana.  Finally the crowd gets what they wanted.  Hi-Fiving my cousins, I suck a blob of happiness into my body.  Awesome! I say to myself.

Catching a basketball I jump high like there was spring in my legs.  I 360 then the basketball leaps into the hoop.  I exaggerate like I’ve just won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.  Trying to defend, Connor shoots the hoop.  What a wondrous game !

With joy, I pace down to the pinata.  My cousins bash it with force.  Thinking I’m winning this, Taylor bangs it. That’s a bummer!

Spaghetti Bolognese

White wormy spaghetti takes over the perfect polished bowl.  Trying to gobble meatballs, spaghetti flies out of my mouth.  My tastebuds disintegrate.  A eternity passed as I keep on eating a terrible disaster.  Waiting for Mum to release me from this horror I have a few more noodles.  Finally I get to throw it away.

Swimming Sport

Playfully I darted into the silver steel chamber.  The radio was singing as the house flags stand tall.  The athletes storm in making a stampede.  Hoping I will win, I sit and wait for my destiny.


Ambling to the start I shudder like crazy.  My blood was rushing and my teeth were chattering as I lumber a few more steps.  As an eternity passed, I made it.  A grab for my flutter board and got into the chlorine filled liquid.  I start.  Flapping my arms I glide through the water.  I was so worked up.  I spread my wings and finish.

I stand and wonder what I got.  Amazement shot me with a bullet as I get told I got told I came 4th. My emotions were mixed with proudness and embarrassment.  What a day !  

World Water Day

This afternoon syndicate 4 celebrated world water day as the students were lying down like a big rope and spelt WORLD H20 @ TAPS ! Here is a photo of it.
